uhh yeah i accidently did it.... i was stupid and disregarded my boost gauge while i was driving...although i was going well over 100 MPH...i also diddnt have a wide band to tune my safc (1) and i also had my manual boost controller turned up to much....luckily though, i had my safc blindly cranked way up to compinsate for this

i also poped my HKS BOV straight off and then my car stumbled to a stop

I did it pretty much constantly for about 2-3 months. What a horrible experience.

You do 1 bar on an SAFC? If your S4, then your driveability cant be all that good.

i ran 14psi for a while. i have my safc hooked up to my boost sensor for the tps signal.
after 8psi i have the high map tuned for 14psi. the mbc is always set to high boost... but at half throttle or so it will boost under 8psi and use the low map for better gas mileage.

it detonated one time on a cold evening and i turned it back 11psi till i can get a fmic and more fuel.

sucks i didnt get to run the car at the track at 14psi.... 11psi got me a 13.5, stock clutch slipping away...

you guys are walking a thin line!

and your car would probably be FASTER on 12-13psi unless your intercooler is gigantic!

I'd like to know how you managed to get away with pinging an engine! I've pinged a motor twice, and both times, they didn't survive to boost again.

sleeperfc forgot to mention, he does not have a stock turbo. well, it's stock but a hybrid so it can push over 11psi and be happy. a stocker now, i wouldn't go over 12psi. too much heat.
