any ways i have an 88 t2 with intake exhaust turbo back tb mod stage 1 street port fcd fuel pump rewire and an safc2
i start increasing the fuel at 2 % 4600 then 4% @ 5000 then 7% @5600 then 10% @6000 and 12% @ 6600 and 25% at 7k and up
any ideas about this setup. i beleve its running rich but i woul rather run rich then lean.

Mixtures cannot be read over the internet. Get onto a dyno and have it tuned.

i also need some settings...

stock intake, 3" catback, rewired motor and fuelpump, blitz BOV... so near stocklevel this time

but i think it would be better if you get a good A/F Gauge and tune yourself on the street! or like NZ said, go to a dynshop and do it pro

The FCD is the biggest risk.
When you put that in, the stock map can get behind in fuel AND TIMING, especially in cold winter air, with a stock waste gate and a free exhaust.
You can hedge it some by retarding spark and pushing fuel way up as boost comes up.

Like Jason says you must set the tune (AFR & spark) or you will detonate.

I personally have hurt two engines by miss-guessing on tune.

WTF are your trying to do here. Quit being cheap and get it tuned to a wide band like everyone else does. Even if I had the same setup as you do, our engines are going to react to fuel slightly differently. Where I could be running rich and taking away fuel, you could be running lean. Following someone elses settings doesnt make any sense at all.

i asked if any one had any (useful) ideas about the set up i am running. i didnt ask your advice on dyno tuning. does any one have any known maps for the mods i have again. ive been running this setup for several months with out my engine blowing up. please some useful help, or is everyone here too stupid to know how to tune their own cars. i will share my settings with you if you want as they seem to be working fine but if any one has any other settings that are better let me know

So why did you posts your corrections if you weren't after tuning advice? There are no "useful ideas" for setting up an S-AFC. There is only one way: the right way, as per the instructions. This should be pretty obvious. As for tuning, your numbers sound like complete guesswork. You're drowning your motor with fuel at high revs, which is unnecessary and simply costs you power and gas.

does any one have any known maps for the mods i have again.
Didn't you understand anything posted above? Using other peoples maps is dangerous. You have no idea if the info is suitable for your engine. Similar mods does not mean someone elses maps are safe. Don't be a cheap-***, get it tuned properly.

please some useful help, or is everyone here too stupid to know how to tune their own cars...

Are these childish insults supposed to encourage people to help you? Seriously man, why would anyone want to help you now?

And since you are asking for our help does that mean you are too stupid to know how to tune your own car?

Well we can't really tell you about settings over the internet. We don't know exactly how well or how much your injectors are flowing, we don't know if everything on your car is working exactly right, and most of all, we don't live where you live. We can't tell you settings because you're probably in a different climate, and I can't make corrections for that. The basic rules are to run a very conservative tune, then get it dyno tuned with a wideband O2 sensor hooked up. Sorry, that's just the way things go.

No you haven't, you have guessed (and you have not guessed well). Guessing is not tuning.

i just asked for advice on settings...
And that's what you got. The best advice for you regarding your settings is to go and get it tuned properly on a dyno. Recommending someone elses settings would be bad advice.

Go for a minus 50 in the high and low settings(across the board). Then go for a drive up a very steep hill at full throttle. Disconnect the knock sensor prior to doing this and only do this if your running the cheapest gasoline that can be bought. If the engine is still running after this pull, try, try, try again until it does not knock anymore.
