Well, the very first thing I would do is to run some jumpers AROUND the resistors (or take them out completely), hop in the car, and take her for a spin to see if my theory holds...

Hopefully you didn't fry anything

I think it'd be highly unlikely that big aftermarket injectors are high impedence. It's pretty rare to find those but I wouldnt rule it out until you check the resistance.

ok I'm an idiot after all I took out the resistors and went for a ride. Now instead of it bogging completely now it just hessitates and back fires alot. however it will go past what it was rpm wise. Now here is the question now. What do I need to set my safc to to make my 890's flow the same as 720's and I'll see if that takes care of the horrible hessitation I'm getting now. Thanks wayne for pointing that out, just to make sure to test the resistance you just put the red and black lead on either one of the pins on the injector and put it on ohm right? Well thats what I did and thats when it saw 12.4 on both injectors.

another bit of good news though, it looks like no more smoke comming from the turbo

edit: do resisters get hot?

yes resistors will get hot. The way they work is to create a load by absorbing electricity, thus they heat up. But not liek scalding hot... just warm.

heh, btw, if your plugs are even semi old i would suggest replacing them. my plugs fouled badly when i had an overly rich condition and they didn't feel like coming back to life. they caused a horrible bucking/misfire which started at higher RPMs and worked its way down into cruising RPM ranges.

So you have 890cc high imp injectors? Weird.... I have read alot of threads about people searching for 720cc high impedence and they were impossible to find.

I know that why I automatically put resisters in. The injectors look like any other 890cc injector thats why I don't think it's a bored out smaller injector. Hey karack I just changed my plugs yesterday so hopefully there is nothing wrong with them. Heres a pick of them they look like any other 890 injector.

I think I'm going to take the 890cc out and try and get some 720 if I can. It just keeps bogging out and **** when the secondaries come on. I'm reaching 10lbs of boost but it doesn't seem like it. Let me see what I can find.

yeah your not jokin' man. Like I said anytime your in this part of the woods let me know, if you like crawfish I'll even get you some of that I just got 720cc secondaries because no matter what I set the safc to it would still hessitate horribly on boost.

When you adjusted the corrections on the SAFC for the 890s did you still have the resistors in there? Or did you take them out and then try to adjust.

I took the resistors out and adjusted it per another post I saw on the forum. If you tune them down to 24% until 3000rpm and then 4000rpm on tune them down 32% it should be like 720's but my car still sputters backfires and hessitates like a bitch!

Are you sure you set the low/high throttle maps? Have you tested that the injectors actually click?

I hope that damn turbo is finally willing to cooperate!

Anyway, 24% for the 720's will get you back down around the stock ecu settings, for the 890's you'd need to run damn near -60% to be near the stock levels.

did you ever fix the smoking problem. Most likely from what It sounds I would check your oil return line. If it isnt direct to you oil pan(kinks or angle up) it will back feed into the turbo and burn out the hotside. A blown seal with pour oil into your intake side.

Hot starts are almost gauranteed to be your 720 primaries. Running injectors that big are a pain in the ***.

smoking just cleared up on its own after driving for a while. I just bought some gsl-se 720cc injectors. I wonder if they will flow any less than the 720's I have on their right now. Probably not, 720cc is 720cc no matter how you cut it. Hum..... I don't really know what to do.

Still having the bogs? What's your A/F ratio when it bogs? What corrections are you currently running?
