Sad.. Blown apex seal

I've barly had my fc for 3 months and everything goes pretty bad for me. First off got the car non-running engine caught fire, found out how the fire started fixed that up. After that had idle issues fixed that. Got had the car running properly. When I got insurance for the car only got to drive it for a good 2 days till the engine caught fire on me. Fixed the car again now the engine is running roughly and can't hold a idle well. Did a compression test and found out it has a blown apex seal. Sad but it'll be a first rebuild for me.

pulsation dampener? injector leak?

now you have to choose:

1. rebuild and Stay NA
2. Go TII swap
3. Rebuild with ceramic seals and never worry about your motor again. This is $$$ though.

sounds like you bought a real POS. Maybe rebuilding the motor is the best thing to happen to this car... either this is, or the crusher will be

I'm picking #1 just going to rebuild it. And later on when this happens to me again time for Turbo!

well after the rebuild you should be able to drive it for over 200K miles if you take care of it.

Rebuilding should hold you over for quite some time. Maybe while you're waiting, you can save for a TII while you have a great working NA!
