AZ s5na to s4na engine swap

so i have a s5 motor im looking to swap in my s4 vert.
I know i can use the s4 intake and all but the s5 intake is way better.
so is there any links or any that can give me a write up on how i go about doing this?

I want to keep the stock wiring harness i dont want to chage that. just want the s5 motor with the s5 intake to put in place of my s4.

thanks

gonna have to block off the omp on the s5 motor or put a s4 on there i would suggest blocking it off and premixing. IM not sure about the difference in sensors between the s4 and s5 but I would look into that

ok, still kind of confussed because none of these actually tell you how to put a s5 na into a s4 na while keeping all of the emissions and they dont explain on how to properly connect all the s4 vaccum & emissions hoses to the new s5 intake manifold.

I want the s5 motor and intake, but i want to keep s4 wire harness and vaccum & emmision lines....
starting to think about leaving the s5 block but with the s4 intake and all...

is there any links that explain more about how to do a s5 engine and s5 intake swap into a s4 body while useing all the s4 emission, vaccum, and harness?

has this been done and can it be done?

I believe that if you attach the vacuum lines at similar locations to where the attach on the S4 that it wont matter exactly where.

I've been wrestling with building my spare S5NA motor for my daily driver but I really want the extra 1k to rev if I do this swap.

From the link I posted earlier it does sound like the VDI is still totally worthwhile though..

I'm pretty sure it has been done, and I know that it can be.

Looking quickly at the rotaryressurection link I am reminded that you'll have to swap the front covers, though it shouldn't be too difficult I would think that to be the hardest part of this swap

i know i have to swap the front cover out for the s4 so I can bolt the omp on, and ill have to use the s4 throttle body as well.
I just want the s5 to pass emission and function without any flaws.
I want to get as much power out of my s5 as possible so keeping the s5 intake would be great but i also need to pass emission whitch is coming up for me in sept.

The one link sounded really good but it didnt go into where i should plug all the vaccum lines from the s4 onto the s5 intake.
rotary resurrection has good info also but again nothing to much on the vaccum lines.

Now if i was to put all my s4 intake on the s5 motor should i still use the s5 lower intake mani with the s4 upper intake manifolds? sence they have the different air ports?(s5 below the primary intake, s4 below the outter intake ports)?

if you swap intake manifolds you must keep the upper/lower together. Cant use s4 lower/ s5 upper or visa versa. Seriously though the s5 intake system is much better. If using s5 block then use s5 intake to take advantage of VDI and extra 1k upper rpm range.

As for vacuum lines, search for diagrams on here. The lines should go to the same areas but i havent done this myself. Take pictures and work your way back and forth swapping parts.
