Cool s5 wire harness question

Which set of injector plugs go to which set of injectors?
2 plugs on the end of the harness
2 plugs on the middle part of the harness

I didn't remove the engine, but I am reinstalling it, nothing was marked by the genius that removed the engine, any help would be greatly appriecated.

Thanks!

Not seeing the diagram for the harness layout on the motor.
Can anybody tell which plugs go where? Or just drive to Carnation and I'll look at your car. LOL!

the primarys in the intermediate housing the plugs will be really close to gether. and the secondaries in the intake manifold the plugs will be aboput 8" apart. that's about the best as I can describe it.

Go HERE: https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...ht=photobucket

See the fourth post down. You will see a picture there. On the right side of the picture are the fuel injectors.

EAch fuel injector has two wires.

One wire is black/yellow on each plug.

The other wire will be another color. Like light green (lg). You should be able to figure things out from looking at that picture.

Arrow

This is my problem, the wire colors are the same, I have 2 injector plugs mid harness at point "B" and 2 at the end of the harness point "A"
See pic

Which ones are the primaries and which are the Secondaries?

None of the wiring diagrams are telling me this part....

Anybody who can tell me this?

Thanks again for time.

My guess would be "B" are your primaries and "A" are you secondaries. Although the way that harness is rigged, I doubt anyone could tell you for sure. What you could do is plug in an injector at "B" or "A" and turn the engine over. The primary plugs will click and the secondaries will do nothing.

Every RX-7 ever made had color coded wires on the injector plugs.

One wire on each plug is black/yellow on a series five.

The other wire on the Front Primary is LIGHT GREEN

The other wire on the rear Primary is LIGHT GREEN WITH A BLACK STRIPE

The other wire on the front secondary is LIGHT GREEN WITH A WHITE STRIPE

The other wire on the rear secondary is LIGHT GREEN WITH A RED STRIPE

Its as simple as that.

Cool No rest for the weary

Thanks Hailers, that did the trick. Now I just need to figure out why the altenator connector was cut off. The genuis that removed this engine has now ticked me off. I got everything in place all the connectors account for and then.....no Altenator connector, just 2 black wires cut. They trace back to the positive on the battery cable. The post connector to the altenator is there but the plastic 2 prong connector is gone.
Wish me luck.

I was a bit tacky with that wire colored thing. Some cars have had the injector plugs cut off and new ones put on and the pigtails of the new ones might be a half foot long and all the same color, so you have to trace back on the harness to find the original wires.

One a TURBO EM harness, the harness with the injectors plugs etc, there will be no alternator wires. The alternator wires are on the Engine harnes that runs on the left side of the engine bay and goes to things like cas and engine bay fuse box.

So I'm asking a question of sorts. Is this a series five car or a series four car with a series five EM harness? Or a ???????

The small plug on the alt has two wires. The most important one is the one that is white/blue. It from the engine bay fuse box to the altenators small plug and gives the alternators regulator information on what the batt voltage is.

I can't post jpgs from here, but, if you look at the jack on the alternator, and picture the plug with its locking tab on the alternator, the white/blue wire would go to the right of the locking tab. The other wire makes its way to the warning light cluster and is not required for the operation of the alternator itself. Its just a warning that the alt isn't working.
