S5 Water Pump -Question!

I am replacing my Water pump on my N/A S5 Vert. The waterpump pulley will not come off-the middle pulley on the crank is in the way.

FSM shows the pulley coming off, but not the large bolt in the middle. Do I need to remove the eshaft bolt or can I just remove the other (4 ) bolts?

Just the four 6mm bolts need to come off.
Do yourself a favor and turn the main pulley until the timing marks are aligned before you remove it.
That way you won't have to guess which way it goes back on when you're finished.

Thanks for the quick answer. I already aligned the crank and have pulled the 4 bolts. It doesn't seem to want to budge. Looks like there is some type of slotted adjustment sleave that is behind the eshaft bolt. Is this standard normal?

I don't think so...unless it's a vert thing.

Should it be 'stuck'? or should it come off pretty easily?

I don't like to strong-arm things unless they are intended to be strong-armed.

The pulleys should just come right off, no force needed.
Before getting medieval, I'd check it out very closely.

Thanks. I wonder if I have some aftermarket main pulley.

I should probably just take the opportunity to just pull and shim the thermo bypass pellet.

Clutch wedged in to secure the torrington bearing, right?

Probably...a very thin coat on each side of the gasket.
Personally, I favor Hondabond but any RTV should work.

No leaks, no muss no fuss. I was so tired of the weep hole dripping, although it might have been the wp housing to the block that was seeping. Doesn't matter, the deed is done.

I also took the opportunity to reseal the edges and top of the condenser to the back of the radiator tanks. This should make for better airflow across the condenser and through the oil cooler.
