Question a few quick Q's

i have two quick questions that i hope someone can help me with.
first of all i have a 88 tii and when ever i turn on the head lights the engine drops about 150 RPM's i have been some problums with the rely on the transmission so was thinking they could be related.
the second question is when i got the car it came with a Apexi S-AFC (second generation/blue screen version) i never really thought to mess with the settings but looking threw saw that it was set for a 4 cylinder car, that just sounds wrong to me. i have been trying to find the pdf of the manual but all the links are dead. was hoping someone knows of a active link or just what the best setings would be for baseline
still new to the RX-7 game so any help is appreciated

Well I am not sure if the S4 works the same way, but on the s5 the electrical load control system uses the BAC valve to control the idle. So when the headlights go up or blower or fogs, the BAC valve lets air go into the engine to compensate for the load. You could have a faulty BAC valve.

Does the same thing happen when you run the A/C?

As far as the SAFC it fine set to the 4cylinder mode. You can read more here:

Hope this helps....

Yea right I mean you go to the apexi web site and they have a FD throwing a huge flame out the back. You would think they would put a rotory Seting in. they do make lots of RX-7 parts (haha)
