i need to determine what front cover is on the engine i have but i haven't been able to find a thread with any solid results showing exactly how to tell the two apart.

any help especially pictures would be greatly appreciated.

 

s5 is a 3 bolt oil metering pump mounting

s4 is just 2

yep.

 

see your other thread. The s4 LIM will work but it is not ideal and JDM s5 manifolds aren't that hard to get. The s5 LIM gasket is bigger than the s4 also, because the port runners are larger.
