I hear most people recommend the turbo city kit but I want to know if this one will also work as it's a bit cheaper http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/GARRE...QQcmdZViewItem.

I sent him an e-mail asking about it and he said he didn't have anything to rebuild a hitachi turbo. Since he didn't/doesn't know that the garrett kit will work on the hitachi turbo I have turned to you to answer my question.

Do a google search for g-pop shop turbo rebuilds. I did my S5 turbo. and youre correct it is a Hitachi but you they do give you garrett t3 seals. I called and asked. Parts fit fine. and only around a hundred bucks.

My Turbo II have a Hitachi HT 18S with Turboneti compressor upgrade, but needs repair causes that the car smokes and consumes oil.
Where I can buy a repair kit for this turbo, in Internet?
Thanks

I rebuilt a stock S4 turbo and a S4 BNR stage 2 turbo. Both times I got a kit from gpop shop.
I sent the the compressor and the turbine wheels to turbocity to be balanced. Have no problems since. I reused the original bolts and clamps. It's actually quite easy to rebuild these.

If you're very careful to note the orientation of the compressor, compressor nut and the turbine shaft, you can get away without re-balancing. All of these parts must be lined up exactly as they were before removing the nut.
Also, just to clarify, a standard T3 rebuild kit will work as long as it comes with an encapsulated carbon seal.
