S5 turbo Flange size?

I have a stainless ebay manifold that i wanna use, made for an FD (single turbo set up, so i'm assuming its T4 flange).

But the Flange for the manifold doesnt match up with my stock S5 hitachi.

Correct me if i'm wrong... but i belieive its a standard T3 flange size on the hitachi ht-18s? If so, then all i need is T3 to T4 adapter flange.

thanks

completely proprietary design. you will need a custom flange made.

why would you use an ebay manifold on the stock turbo? The stock turbo manifold is far more reliable. It is a fully divided, short runner design. You can't improve on it much. I believe RE Amemiya made a stainless s5 manifold, but it's like $1000 or something.

Wait...

Are you 100% sure i'd need a custom flange?

Not to call you out on it or anything. i just noticed you had an 88' turbo II, and i know for a fact that S4 turbo units have one stud that is offset from the rest... in which case i would mos definately need a different flange made. But they changed this for S5's

I'm just double checking because the flange on my 90' TII (S5) is a true-rectangular pattern...

Can you confirm that? I trust your judgement based on your 6000 posts lol.

Yes. It is unlikely that anyone makes and sells RX-7 only flanges. That would be a very small market.

especially with even the largest hybrids not really maxing out the stock manifold and exhaust housing as long as they are properly ported

Yeah. build a custom manifold. you could build a custom up pipe with custom flanges to relocate the turbo but that is a big waste

we actually built a "kit" that puts a gt35 on a stock s5 manifold, its this little adaptor thing, it fits with the air pump and ACV, dp, oil and water fittings, its even setup to use the stock airbox.

it ended up being really expensive though.

and trying to adapt the stock S5 to a t3 is just weird
