whoa, are you serious? damn, ive been reving to 8 grand since ive done my swap... my fuel cut is at 8.5k, any adverse affects doing this? my buzzer goes off at 7900, so this must be a function of the tach instead of the ecu?

not if you dont do it all the time. Revving it high is always going to take more life away from any engine than say if you revved up to lower rpm's. Eventually, it will break. Not doing it often will = more life. Its your engine, do as you please.
^ nah, i dont think so, i doubt S5 na vs T2 engine parts are differnt enough for mazda to change the redline because of engine durability. what is the optimal shift point then? maybe a drivetrain differnce?
Tach off? What I never heard of that, so how am I supposed to know I a idling right,...sounds like a personal problem. Maybe the 3800 rpm hesitation is really 4200, or 2300, who knows!!! Getting some TII driverain huh, me too, I bought a S5 tranny for 150!, lets not talk about the shipping though
