s5 transmission wiring plugs *pic included

Ok, I'm swapping a turbo transmission into an s5 vert. The tranny is s5.

I don't see all the plugs on the tranny that the car has, also it seems like the two round plugs don't really reach, I may have to extend them. Also the square plugs on the tranny have been cut off/smashed. I'm just trying to figure out exactly what they all do.
There are 5 plugs, 6 wires total.
There are 2 round and 2 square plugs, and one D shaped plug with 2 wires.

Are the 2 round "together" or does each one get grounded out?
And the 2 square, do they get connected together? or connected to ground?
What do they do?
Does the "polarity" matter?

Plug A is a female square
Plug B is a male Square
Plug C has 2 wires comming from it
Plug D and E are identical as far as i can tell
I know there is a reverse light switch, and a neutral switch, just trying to figure out what is what and how the switches work.

Thanks

Plug D & E Backup Light Switch (Will be round screwed in switch with two points)

Plug A & B Over the Top Switch (Have to look that up) Think this is the 1st/2nd gear indicator, you cant put the cruise on in 1st or 2nd I think

Plug C Neutral Switch

do I'm guessing D&E get hooked together to turn on the backup lights right?

I wasn't sure if those got hooked together, or to ground

Go by wire color. Since the 5th gear/reverse switch is all one unit, it's easy to hook up the wires backwards. If your reverse lights come on when you put it in 5th, they're backwards. The white plug should be to the neutral switch.

B/Y & R/G : Reverse switch (FSM page Z-28)
B/L & B: 5th gear switch (FSM page Z-32)
G/B & B: Neutral switch (FSM page Z-32)
