S5 Starter Problem

Here is what is happening I went to turn the car over with the UIM off and put some oil in the chambers but the starter did nothing but click well I checked the battery 12volts and at the starter 12v. So I read on here and decided the starter was toast got a reman but same thing still happens. It will click and no go and the negative battery cable becomes hot I did not cross the wires or anything checked multiple times searched the forum tried everything said but still nothing.

I checked the fuses cables grounds starter. The interior lights go out when trying to crank which makes me think I have a positive ground somewhere when I try to crank but I looked and nothing. All that happens is that the starter clicks like it is trying to engage. Any suggestions?

Ya i know most people don't look at that but that thing is my bible i have traced everything the only thing now is a bad ignition switch. I do not post anything on here without looking at the fsm as well as searching for related problems and trying them. thanks though

Have you had the battery tested with a load tester? 12v static charge doesn't mean ****.
