Lightbulb S5 Shift Light

Does anyone know if there is a shift light signal from the ecu on the S5 series. On the factory service manuals it shows the pin on the ecu but i have not yet checked to see if there is actuly a wire ran to the pannel for this in the S5.
As of yet i dont see any S5 pannels with a shift light. Has anyone added one or can this b done.

The shift buzzer isn't good enough or what. A light would just distract you from driving. I don't think many people put shift lights on their RX7's.

If there is a pin for it, you could add a wire to it and a small LED or low amperage bulb. But I don't recall there being the pin.

And some people think the shift light is pretty cool. In my old vert I had it wired up so that at economy it lit up orange and at redline it lit up Red.

And too the two people (Rx-7fetish and niburu) that already answered in this thread should have just not posted, as you have had absolutely nothing to contribute to the thread... and instead it appears that you are just post whoring. Next time answer a thread if you have something to actually contribute instead of just making an *** of yourself.

There isn't.

No it doesn't. You've misread something, or you're looking at the wrong ECU info.

I opologize for apearently post whoring, and i dont see how i was making an *** out of myself, i was giving my honest opinion on something i own. If your not to pissed off at me i would like to know how you did the orange/red light thing, it would be cool to do that and disable the rev alarm (ill search how to get rid of the alarm myself)

perhaps we went about it the wrong way

we should have asked what skatelement wants the shift light for;
did he want it just cuz he thought it'd be neat to have?
or as visual warning for redline?
or to keep his rpm's low and try for some fuel economy?

I know Summit Racing and some of the other race shops sell programmable shift lights if he's shooting for performance shift points

To the OP if you wanna shoot me like ten bucks and the cost of shipping i have a set of s4 gauges with the clear front cracked they still worked fine when taken out though, you could play around with them and see if it would work or if you could make it work

To make the 'shift up' light light up red at redline, I would assume that you'd connect wires to the redline buzzer's + and - and wire them to an LED, then insert that somehow beside the orange, normal light. Just an assumption
