s5 omp removal?
I was going to remove the OMP on my s5 turbo... I know it goes into limp mode but has anyone figured out a way to fool the ECU into thinking that it is still working correctly?

Long story short, the only "proper" way to get rid of the metering oil pump on the S5 is to swap the ECU.

I searched a little then got bored and my eyes started to hurt...
I guess I want to make a box or something that I can plug in. My OMP isnt workign and the 5 other ones I have all read out of spec on the multi-meter.

A box could be built (I designed one about a year ago based on a microcontroller), but is nontrivial. My cost to sell them would be about $150 a piece, and since I don't believe that premix is superior to the metering oil pump, I have no motivation to take the risk of producing the product.

Untested on an actual car, but should work just fine. But no, sorry, they are not available because in the future I may decide to produce them. Also, you need the appropriate PCB building equipment, interface to program the microcontroller (currently BASICStamp, but I would move to Zilog if I do production), etc.

The ECU looks for continuity on the poles of the stepper motor - no sweat.
BUT - It also compares the position sensor value to what it expects after it works the stepper.
That's the tricky part.
