s5 injectors in a s4?

just picked up this 88 TII project, pulled the UIM off and noticed the connectors for the fuel injectors looked different and that they had been spliced on, all have oval connectors except one left bottom one??

whats the benefit of running s5 injectors? do you need a s5 ecu or anything, any reason they didnt switch the last injector?

also does anyone know where those two capped off lines with the screws go? i think one goes to the zero cold start assist? and the other goes to the primary air something?

OMG DUDE LOL i worked on this car....a guy named roland used to own it, i helped him put the motor in.
his goal was to have it running spending like zero cost.... he basicly told me what we have here is what u get to work with, which was allmost nothing.

so had to rig alot... prolly worst job ive ever had to do since he wouldnt supply anything... to "do the job right"

so anyway for the life of me i couldnt get it to run after some intence trouble shooting it turns out 3 of the injecotrs were bad, so i

told him he needs new ones, and he brings me THREE s5 injectors.
not a full set of one but THREE of the s5 ones...
and tahts all i have to work with. so i end up using the 1 good injector and the 3 s5 ones and manage to get it runing fine... with "ghetto emissions removal" having to plug all the hoses he wont replace and stuff...

then he ends up selling the car right away then i never saw it again, but i recognize this!

lol im sorry u ended up owning such a monstrosity

The car will run with mixed 88 S4 and S5 injectors, they are both 550cc and high impedance. Would I set it up that way? No.

However you need to double check the part numbers on those S5's as they appear to be orange which would indicate that they are 460cc N/A injectors, the 550cc TII's are a maroon color.

The one line with the screw is for the subzero starting system. This can be removed with block off plates http://banzai-racing.com/store/FC_block_off_plates.html

The one with the nail is to help atomize the fuel from the primary injectors. You can connect this to one of the nipples on the UIM or cap it off.
