S5 FPR problem

Hi,
the fpr on my S5 seems to have gone bad, as I have around 50psi of fuel pressure. FSM says to replace the fpr but in my car it is solid together with the fuel-railing.

How can i change it for an aftermarket fpr? Is it possible to use an S4-Railing?

Thanks.

i dont think you can use an S4 rail because the FPR on the S4 is on the Primary rail and S5 is on the Secondary rail.

you could upgrade both rails to an aftermarket ones with new hoses and connect a aftermarket FPR for cheaper than it would be to buy an OEM replacement. I have the RisingRPM fuel rail kit and its very good quality

i would make sure the vacuum hose is hooked up correctly, as it sees vacuum and boost stock, and if its on the wrong nipple, it might not

Run the s4 rails as you normally run the s4 rails.
the only thing is that the s4 secondary rail would need to be spaced(4mm) as it squishes the injectors.
Look at RisingRpm aftermarket rails. If you go this way you need the lines, regulator etc to set this fuel system up.

Okay, maybe I have this wrong. Can anyone look up which pin should be connected to what?

incorrect, both turbo fuel systems are the same configuration but the S5 uses stamped steel rails versus replaceable parts on the S4 with aluminum rails. you can swap S4 with S5 parts but the S4 rails on the S5 TII LIM will need to be shimmed up about 2-3mm.

as for the issue for the OP, are you running a walbro pump? if so then replacing the FPR will probably just have you spinning your wheels.

No, I'm still using a stock fuel pump.

Okay, it is really hard to make a good picture of the hoses. Can anyone with an S5 check, if they are connected the right way?

T the boost gauge into that hose, if it sees vacuum and boost, you're fine. if it doesn't you need to do more work.
