s5 fog lights question?

All right let me go straight to the questions:

1.) Where is the on/off swicth for the fog lights in an 91 s5 located?, is it the one in the middle of the center console, next to the power mirror adjustable-thing?

2.) If it is, has anyone had any problems with the fog lights just, not turning on, I already put a new fuse, but is there another problem or loose wire I should look at?

That's pretty much it, I didn't wanna waste anyone's time so I just went straight to the question, wasn't trying to be rude by the way. Thanks.

I dunno the answer to #2 since I don't have fog lights ( ) but I know the answer to #1. It's right where you said it should be, the blank spot next to the security light.

hhhmmm. I actually have a swicth there, but I don't know if maybe the swicth is bad or something, because none of them turn on. When I checked the fuse box, there was no fuse on the spot, so when I put in, they still don't turn on, so now Im **** out of options.
Does anyone know if that swicth is known to go bad??

check the bulbs and make sure your headlights are on when you try to turn on the foglights.

Yes your headlights have to be on in order for the foglights to turn on. I just leave my switch on at all times. Unless you rewire it yourslef they will only come on when the headlights are on.

Canadian models use the fog lights as day time run lights... Mine are pretty much always on... Only time i can turn them OFF is when the lights are up.

check the fuse again to make sure you didn't blow it when you tried to turn on the foglight with the headlight on... if the fuse is now blown... you have a short somewhere... most likely when a replacement bulb is installed, they have to be H3 retrofitted and they have been known to be wired in incorrectly causing a short circuit.

Before you do any of the afore mentioned, try replacing the bulbs. When i first got my 7, the fogs didnt work, and it just ended up needing 2 new bulbs.

I have the same problem here because i got some stock fog lights from a GXL into my GTU (both S5) and it didnt work. Replaced bulbs and still doesnt work. Probably my car didnt come with a fog light relay, or is the relay the on/off switch itself?
