S5 Dash in S4, wiring problem?

ive asked this a couple of times, ive got different answers...searched....same thing.....

so if i keep the s4 gauge cluster (wanna keep mileage correct)...does any wiring have to be switched, or will the s5 plug right up to the s4 wiring?

also, if anyone has done this, what type of "minor fitment issues" are we talking about?

is the s5 logicon the same as the s4?

info please, thanks!

the wiring isn't built into the dash. I would think that the cluster would have the same mouitng holes in the s4 and s5. so you shouldn't have any issues.

The S4 gauge cluster harness will not plug into a S5 dash harness, or vice versa. Youll need to modify the harness to match the cluster, or just use a S5 cluster. Its not hard to change the milage, you can click it back by hand, as I did when swapping to a S5 cluster on my S4.

No, Not correctly it wont

I helped out on an S5 n/a -> S4 turbo swap last summer, and if you plug in s4 harneses into s5 dash harneses, you get constent power lines plugged into dash grounds, it causes 10000000000 electrical problems

My advice is to switch all your s4 wiring into the s5 dash, its not alot of wiring once you get to look at it all

if your swaping out the dash and plan to use the s4 cluster I don't see why you are worrying about the s5 harness as you should be using your s4 wiring. sounds like you are thinking too much into this. If I don't do some kind of dash conversion. I plan to use a s5 dash and just the dash. not any wiring.
