S5 alt plug question.

So my friend cut the plug, off his harness of his 323 (same plug as S5 alt) well he cut it way too short so I pulled it appart and rewired it. only thing is I forgot witch wire was the thinker wire. If I remember right its the L terminal is the 10G wire. can anyone tell me if I'm right or wrong so he doesn't install it and it be wrong.

BTW long as you don't forget to write down the wire sizes, rebuiling that plug was really simple. just poped it appart, pulled the old wires out, and soldered in some new ones, rather than just splice the 1/8" wires. I gave him another 10" of wire for ease of removing it. A little much, but he'll beable to pull the alt off first then pull the plug now. it being side mounted twards the passager firewall rather than right on top of the engine.

So if anyone needs this done. I'm more than willing to fix your plug for free. you just pay shipping and parts (such as new connectors and a buck or two for some wire. I just like to solder. I'm not sure if you can just buy a new pigtail at the part store. I'm pretty sure I can fix any pigtail plug of that style.

a wiring diagram will go a long way in a situation like this.

B should be the big wire that attaches to the separate post on the alt.

I think L and S are the same size..

Yeah, the size won't matter much. The original wires on S4s and S5s are only about 18 gauge. The S terminal is the one receiving battery power, but it's low current.
