S4T strut bar problem..
i have a fmic but i think im going to get one shortend its catching the one tip on the cap. i was having some close issues with the alt but i just installed a gilmer kit that i think should have pulled it down way out of the way. i will get some pics after i take the car off the jacks
waldog i would still like to see where yours is hitting also..

when i had this problem i just tilted the bar forward till it cleared..i dont know why this problem happens but im sure that it has something to do with the time and effort they put into the making of the bar when i tryed to put my bar on it hit the alt. as well. i dont know if that happened to you. they prolly made them going off the s5 layout and thought that it would be ok for both s4 and s5 when its clearly not..anyway good luck.

It's actually quite difficult to design a strut bar that doesn't hit something. There are so many versions of the FC (S4, S5, power steering, A/C, TII, three different rads, etc.) that something at some point is going to be in the way. While designing my FC three point front strut bars, I had to simply accept the fact that somewhere there will be someone who can't fit the bar.
For example, move the main bar above the alternator and you hit the hood and block the water cap. Move it forward and you block the fuse box. Move it forward a bit more and you create a moment arm and interfere with the fan. Bring it down and you hit the alternator or pulley. And that's not even getting to the firewall bars.

Ok. It's not really mounted. Just sitting on the rubber covers. But if it was mounted, it would hit that cap. I tried to get a smaller alt belt, but no luck as now it hits that cap.
this is the only pic i have rite now. i was told its a cusco when i got it but theres no stickers on it or anything to tell. this is also just sitting on the top of the nuts and its tapping the cap as it sits..
