S4 TII Fuel Pump Depressurizing and Priming

I'm going to be going some work on the fuel lines this weekend and need guidance on depressurizing and priming the fuel pump.

To depressurize, I will start the car, then pull the EGI INJ fuse under the hood next to the battery and let it die?

And to prime the fuel pump after I'm done, I'm supposed to jump a connector and turn the key to ignition. Which connector do I jump and where is it?

Take off your gas cap and stick a screw driver in for a second.

Disconnect the fuel pump connector or egi fuse and let the car die. I'd turn it over for about 10 seconds after that to be sure. You dont really need to prime it when starting it back up.

i'm lazy i like to pull the relay that turns on the fuel pump, which is by the drivers right knee (LHD), and can be unplugged from the drivers seat.

so i start car, unplug relay, let it die, do repair, plug it back in, and start as normal.

To answer your question about the jumper, it's a 2 pin yellow check connector on the passenger strut tower; wire colors are brown and black.

Thanks guys... So I just finished removing the rat's nest and what a difference it made for the responsiveness of the engine. Went for a drive and car felt great. But as I was doing a pull under a freeway overpass(with no cat and exhaust) I get pulled over by a cop. ****! So, he asks for my driver's license and registration as usual and says "that's not a stock exhaust eh?" so I'm thinking ****, he's gonna give me a fix it ticket and I'm gonna have to put all the emissions crap back on right after I finished taking it all out. After a minute he comes back and asks me if I know a lot about RX7's, I say a little bit and he tells me about his friend's FD. We talked a little bit about my car and finally he says "Don't be stupid" and let me go.
Thank god for chill cops. I was in a great mood after this and just had to share

if you do any fuel work, id highly recommend turning the key to on, and "priming the system" with this connector, if u jumper the two pins it will run the fuel pump....

and let the pump run for several minutes, to check for leaks.... don't want any car-b-ques!
