S4 T2 swap knock control questions

I am swaping over my 87 n/a to a full T2 HOWEVER the engine has N/A housings with T2 rotors... there is no knock control sensors - so will this be a major problem or is there a way to bypass the knock control system and function without getting away from the factory computer. The rough economy is keeping me from a full haltec set up.

Please help! Thanks

Im pretty sure that the stock knock sensor is a worthless piece of **** anyways. Just make sure you do things the right way, dont just haphazardly upping the boost, etc. without proper support mods....

It's not needed. A good tune should be safe enough to not get knock in the first place.

If you're using an NA engine management harness, go here for wiring details: https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-gen-archive-72/s4-na-turbo-swap-details-813825/. Post #2.

Thanks alot - just wanted to make sure!

another question... If Im not running knock sensors do I still need to have the knock control box plugged in or can I just remove it all together?

Im using a s4 t2 engine harness scince my NA harness was literally raped from previous owner(s) ...unfortunatly alot of the t2 harness sensor and injector plugs/clips are broken. Also (scince I brought that up) is there a good place that sells replacement plugs for sensers and injectors other than a dealership?

Thanks alot guy

No knock sensor, no knock box needed.

If your TII harness is in bad shape anyway, why don't you just buy a used NA harness? It will go a lot easier than adapting all of the TII EM harness to NA front harness connections.
