VA s4 to s5 swap

okay so what is the is the major probs with the s4 to s5 turbo swap?and i have done the research.just every body has a dif story

The turbo bolts right on. You need the manifold, turbo and ideally the oil feed and return lines.

im sorry what i meant was the s5 turbo to s4 na

and i mean the whole swap engine trany ecu and harrnes

by the way my car is a 88 gxl

A few months and about $1400.00 worth of wiring alone.

Call Mitchum in Richmond VA, I think he would do the whole swap for about
$2400.00 without the diff, you will need to provide all the parts.

well i already have it in a garage redoing the rear end you know bushings bearings etc.and i do plan on doing it my self well with friends.

well after reading the web site that rx 7-11 showed i think i will be going for the s4 turbo swap thanks for the help

In that case, 10 months + tons of frustration, endless hours pouring over wiring diagrams, blood, sweat and tears. Its fun!

BTW, I have all the diagrams and pin outs for the swap on bound paper, where do you live?

Yeah do the plug and play route, thought you already had the engine.
Less power but you can make that up elsewhere. Good Luck!

The wiring between S4 and S5 is totally different.

In reality, they are two different cars.

The easiest and best way to do this swap is to replace the stock ECU with a standalone.

The next best way is to rewire the ECU/emissions harness to seperate it from the car completely so it only needs to be connected to the car for power and ground.

The next option is to integrate the S5 harness into the S4 car. This is a major pain. See this topic:
