So are the series 4 and series 5 rear ends the same?

 

turbo or NA? s4 t2's have clutch type diff's, s5 are viscous. they are interchangeable though. the NA diff's are interchangeable as well, gxl's had lsd's, i think there was a difference with the gtus diff as well. gear ratio IIRC.

 

All the NA open diffs should be the same. It's the LSDs that went through some changes. And the GTUs had a 4.33 LSD.
