S4 purchase question

I found an 86, looks like a base, sitting by a shop, pretty much abandoned. The car is not in the best condition. It has been sitting outside for more than a year with its doors unlocked, in a bad part of town. It's obviously been robbed. The rear speakers have been literally ripped through the shrouds, the car is internally disassembled, partially. The center console is missing, several pieces, such as the lever to pop the hood, are missing (the cable is there, but bare and hanging loose). Some parts of the car are bent (nothing I can't fix myself) and some are rusting (bottom of the front fenders). There is grafitti on the front hood. It was brought to the shop under its own power for ECU and fuel injector work. One of the injectors was stuck open and the ECU was causing the car to run rich and constantly flood (or at least that's what the shop owner, not the owner of the car, told me). I can't see any coolant in the system when I open the cap. By the odometer, the car has 90,000 miles on it. It has the sawblade wheels (GXL?), manual locks and windows, no sunroof, a flush-mount unpainted spoiler and no rear wiper. The interior is faded, especially the carpeting. The seats have some small rips in them. The stock radio/cassette deck is still inside. The battery is dead. The guy wants $500 for it.

What do you think?

Without seeing a picture, I wouldn't spend $500 for it. Sounds as though the engine might be gone if it's at the shop for a flooding issue. Take a compression test. However if it's been sitting for a year, you probably won't get very good readings.
Sounds like a $250 parts car.
