S4 NA insta-flood (searched) HALP

S4 NA insta-flood (searched) HALP

My car is an 87 base with little to no mods (header etc)

I pulled my intake manifold to rebuild my omp/ lines, got everything back together all vac lines are secure and properly connected.
Went to start the car and it is flooding pretty much immediately, I got it to start twice but it ran like *** (I assume on one rotor) I put in four spark plugs and the same thing happened started once> ran like ***> turned it off> flooded.

Things to note:
-I replaced the o rings and upper grommets on the Fuel injectors.
-The lower grommets are kinda hard (dunno if that is how they are supposed to be)
-The secondary airbleeders were snapped off by my roomate (off of the car and all parts were recovered)

So why am I flooding so badly? and what can I do to remedy this? it seems like my ignition is acting up? no idea

any info is greatly appreciated!

From where though? I am going to buy new lower grommets, as I have been told they are rubber haha but are grommets usually the cause of leaks, or are there other sources?

Pics of the leading plugs...I don't know how this thing was running

that is probably the next step, I found a local place called injector doctor, I will probably take them there.

Can injectors just crap out though? I mean I know they can get dirty, but can they die?

They can get stuck open, professional cleaning (not dumping STP in your tank) usually fixes it. They last a long, long time.

check to see if one leading spark plug is wet while the other is dry, indicating that you have a bad connection at one of your primary injectors.

injectors don't crap out for no reason as so many people here seem to imply that they do... i have worked on cars sitting for years and the injectors still worked perfectly and rebuilt many cars, they can leak some but they generally do not just fail.

all 4 plugs were soaked haha and thanks alot for the info, based on what people usually say, I was under the impression they did die!

I found out that spark plugs work with an intermittent ground, is there a possibility that I have a pinched/ torn wire and am grounding out and making fuel spray when I don't want it to?
or is that crazy talk?

so I pulled everything apart again, and the wiring loom for my front primary is kinda beat up although the wires appear to be intact.

my engine is pretty dirty, Could a bad ground cause these symptoms?

You could disconnect the injector plug and the corresponding plug to the ECU and ohm out the wire to see if it is faulty.

If the engine was not on but the key was to on and the ground wire for the injector were grounded that would cause the injector to open but it would need fuel. With the key to on and engine off the fuel pump does not run so there would have to be some fuel already in the fuel rail for it to be injected under this situation.
