the only thing you need to wory about is getting the s4 counter weight. the aftermarket flywheel and transmissions are interchangeable between the series iirc.

There is no difference between S4 and S5 tranny, non is more stronger then other, and they are a direct swap. Just use the tranny crossmemeber for each tranny.. ie use S4 corssmember on S4 tranny.. Use S5 crosssmember on S5 tranny.

From what I been told, s4 and S5 N/A tranny were the same.. Don't know about turboII's wich I would think it would do to increased torque output.

The counterweight you need is one that matches your engine - so, if you have an S4 engine, then you need an S4 auto counterweight.

GAH... ok S5 tranny's are FAR superior because they have better synchros!! S4 tranny's suck cuz the synchros go out quickly if you drive hard (which we all do) causing them to grind into gear. Mainly 2nd and 3rd gears

Who the hell keeps telling people to take the S5 counterweight when swapping the tranny?

You're going to destroy things if you don't have the correct counterweight on your engine.
