S4 LSD differential on a S5 n/a without LSD

S4 LSD differential on a S5 n/a without LSD

Hi all, i'm about to swap a Turbo II motor in my n/a and i want to know if I can fit a S4 Turbo II LSD on a S5 without LSD because i know someone that can get me one for cheap.

Hmm good question. I dropped a TII drivetrain into my '89 and my friend said the S4 TII diff won't bolt up.

if u use the t2 drivetrain u have to us the t2 rear end.. it doesnt match up with the drive shaft. so u can only either drop in the engine and use ur old tranny or u change the whole drive train with the t2 rear end.

I'm changing the tranny too with the swap for a S5 turbo

As for what i'm doing with my old motor, i don't know but if you want it i live in Canada, Québec... probably far from you

I used the 3.90 auto rear along with my TII tranny. I even used a TII shaft. Just lined up the shaft perfectly and drilled new holes. The holes come awfully close to the edge but its some pretty tough steel on the flange. It was a bitch to drill but worked perfectly.

you can bolt up the s4 rear end to your car if you have the turbo driveshaft, keep in mind you will also need the turbo half shafts
