Lightbulb My current projects

Allright, I just wanted to post this to get some opinons.

I have bought three RX-7s:

- A white 86 base parts car (automatic) with a cruddy rebiuld that has used housings. This engine has been yanked.

- A grey 87 base parts car (automatic) with 20,000 miles on the NEW (not remanufactured) engine. I have yanked this engine. I cannot get the title for this vehicle.

- A gold 87? GXL in mint condition with everything, (5 speed) I plan to put the engine from the 87 base into it, as the GXLs engine has a blown oil seal on the front rotor.

Now! My questions!

1) What should I do with the grey car and the white car now? What do you think? Is there any use whatsoever for a base auto? If I put a working engine into the white car and restored it, is it even worth anything?

2) Should I sell the GXL? It is in such nice condition I have issues selling it! I'm actually wondering what I should be asking for a car like this if I did sell it.

1- rebuild the white engine and put it back in, sell it to someone.......someone will want a working rex... auto or not ....they can always do a 5speed swap. the gray one part it out.

2- put gry's engine in gold and keep it

I really don't like v8 conversion in rx7 but, a kid in my town just put a nice 302 in his base 86 and I have to say that thing is really really fast. I saw him in a parking lot and asked him for a ride kinda a friend of a friend. If you got expierience with v8's you can make an easy 2grand with that.

Well, putting a V8 in it is going to COST more then 2 grand (at least for me) so that option is out

Rebiuld kits are rather pricy, in fact, they cost more then I belive anyone would pay for the white car. :O

I will part out the grey one, DCRotor, you're in DC, need any parts?

Every day I want to keep the gold car more and more. I might just register it as a weekend driver or winter car, or something.
