S4 Lower control arms onto S5?

Hey, is this possible? will the S4 lower control arms bolt into the mounts on the chassis and will the S4 lower ball joint bolt up to the S5 spindle/hub or will i need to run the S4 spindles/hubs too?

i say this because want changeable lower ball joints, rather than being forced to change the entire lower arm which the S5 is: the balljoint is integrated into it.

my S4 balljoints are held on by 2 bolts and will come right off, but the S5's, you have to replace the whole arm.

I'm 90% sure it will work - just swap it over. Should be a pretty straightforward bolt-on.

The only problem point MAY BE the Sway Bar Mounts. If you match the sway bars to the Control arms you will have NO problems. 9ie use S4 bars on the S4 arms, S5 bars on S4 arms will lead to fitup problems)

The bars are the same. The end links are different.

i see. i wonder if the S5 endlinks will bolt onto the S4 control arms, i didnt think about that yet...

i did notice that Mazdatrix sells the S4 lower ball joints for ~$34 but the S5 ball joints are ~$340... mainly because the S5 ball joints are integrated into the control arm, like i had mentioned before...

thanks guys

You'll need the S4 sway bar links. Know a guy that just did this swap because he wanted the less expensive ball joint alternative.
