s4 ecu pinout

someone had cut n spliced a little computer chip in what i beilive is my "3b"
pintout on the ecu.. its the farthest left connector and on that connector its all the way to the right on the bottom if you were looking at the ecu on the floor board.and is this the wire for the starter?

where did you get that s4 pin out....if its in the shop manual in the faq could you send me a link....i looked through there for that

so why would someone cut in splice a "chip" into the starter line? ive never seen anything like it iall post pics

is there any wires leading from the chip?, could be some kind of trickle charge or something for an old alarm.

The pinouts i posted are from alldata

no it just has one ground wire, and than its spliced into the 3B pin. which is the starter wire.

its a cpu chip wrapped in heat shrink i could get better quality pics if needed but it was hooked up to the 3b wire.. i cant get ahold of the guy who worked on the car before me

Most likely a simple circuit to prevent flooding during hot starts. Disconnecting the start signal reduces the amount of fuel injected during cranking, which can prevent flooding.

Does the oil pressure sendor go throught the ecu? If it does what pin is it? I've got a new autometer guage and I was wanting to use the factory wire instead of putting a new hole in the fire wall.
I guess I could just splice into the wire going to the dash....

No, it does not go thru the ECU.
