car wont start! and weird electrical problem?
so heres a lil background, about a week ago, foglights wont work.
foglights are wired using a relay, and a fused line from the battery, switched with the parking light wire from the turn signals.
so i used a digital volt meter, with the negative on the neg of the battery, and the positive probe on the ground of the lights/ground of the relay. i get 12v when the foglights are plugged in, when the foglight bulbs are unplugged, its 0v. during all this the foglights wont work, so i relocated the gound, and it worked fine! for a few nights.
last night i went to start the car, and it just kept cranking and nothing else happened. it seemed kind of like im not getting any spark...
my question is what could cause the foglight problem, and is that afffecting the starting of the car?

First how is the relay wired?
Should be wired as follows:
86 to parking light wire (red/black)
85 to ground
87 to 12+volts battery
30 to the fog lights
2nd: you probably flooded the car, as unless you tapped the wrong wires there should be no way you could effect the car starting.

well did u check to see if the spark plugs are not burned? or try starter fluid..unplug the fuel line and see if fuel shoots out when u turn the ignition on? try pop starting it? check if the alternater plug is not loose on the back, the fusebox wires maybe loose or bad ground... thats all i can think of that ive done before...

hmmm interesting, i'll have to check again, i know i get fuel, spark plugs still looked very good, and i know they fire cause i left the trailing plug in, took out the leading plug, and dad cranked it, and next thing u know, fire comes spitting out the bottom spark plug hole LOL
