S4 car color -> decal color list?
The S4 came with decals for every badge on the car, be it "mazda" "RX7" "GTU" etc. the decal colors also changed depending on the car's color. However, after 20+ years a lot of the cars have been repainted, and in the process lost their markings.
Does anyone have a list of what color decals came stock on each car color? or help me compile one?
specifically i'm looking for what decal color came on the A3 (maroon red) color. but i'm sure some people would find a list useful for re-badging their cars in stock color in the future.

This is located in the Parts Catalog under Model Identification, but I've included my findings to answer more questions about badge vs paint colors.
3A Royal Maroon Metallic came with either a Red (FD2) or Gray (FD5) interior and was introduced on 12/25/1986. I don't have a breakdown of colors available for each model, but it COULD be done by compiling every single VIN number's build sheet into a ridiculously huge database...
To cut straight to the chase, give me your vin number and I'll be able to tell you exactly what would be correct for your car as it came from the factory. The following list is most likely not complete, but represents the vast majority of badge colors and their corresponding paint codes.
Badge Color Codes and Paint Code breakdown
Color suffix 01 is for Black, 05 is Dark Gray/Black, 06 is Silver, 08 is for Silver, 10 is for Red

the turbo model was called the GT at first, and it was going to come fully loaded or with less equipment (like no sunroof maybe). one of the magazine road test cars was badged GT, so they must have changed to the TURBO II a little after the last minute.
oddly the artifact of having the fully loaded turbo and the stripped turbo is that power steering is optional
i do have a pair of GT decals, so they did exist
