A.A.S. unit need or not?

My car doens't have the A.A.S. control unit thats back by the passenger taillight. Will that effect the cars ability to run or drive?

No, by now chances are the system doesn't work anyways.

The suspension will just remain at whatever setting its stuck at now.

you can yank the box and all the actuators off the shocks out as well, i did.

can you say weight reduction i need to drop 181lbs. mine might come out tomorrow.

and sorry for stealing the thread, but has anyone ever actually seen a working AAS. i just saw some working hatch shocks the other month that got the hatch almost completely open.

I had never seen those either, until I got the car I'm parting out. It popped the hatch all the way up in a fairly rapid manner. I was awe-struck.
Back to the AAS, as stated it most likely isn't working anymore and just dead weight.

I put on KYB AGX so no more AAS. Only thing AAS related I removed though were the actuators on top of the shocks... since I removed the shocks. Is there anything else AAS related I can easily take out of my car? Like an actuator box that I can take out without ripping up the interior.

Edit: Haynes shows a little actuator box in the trunk. Can I just unplug that? Is that all I can really take out?
