That's an earlier 13B housing from a GSL-SE or earlier 13B.

I'm betting the port sizes are different..

You'd have to do some hellacious port-matching to get them to flow equally. That and...its older...most likely the S4+ has revised coolant areas, etc...

I wouldn't use it :\

the water jacket is a good question, and the n/a port is about .120in wider

You can't use it. If you look at your S4 irons, they have a groove cut in them for the water jacket o-ring. If you use that housing, there is no surface on the housing for the ring to seal against....The S4-S6 housings are not grooved and are totally flat...

Here's an S4 housing:"

And the iron to match:

See the difference in water o-ring locations?

You can fill in one set of the grooves, I've done it. And if that isnt good enough Daryl Drummond does it. Just use DEVCON Liquid Steel B and follow their tech instructions to the letter. I have pics posted over on the other site of a set of irons I filled the water seal groove on for a P-Port engine

I am using 84 Housings with a S5 Front iron, works fine

might be possible but i sure wouldn't advise it for a daily driver or any engine you expect to get a fair amount of miles out of. a J-port or P-Port engine is hardly comparable to a daily driven engine.

Possible to use it, YES (if your particular in your work and have a end mill or a very well set up drill press with a moving bed). But it’s a bad idea for someone who doesn't posses those tools or who has little patience for attention to detail. Just get the proper housing. Used ones aren't expensive.
