S-AFC ?'s
Ok I will recieve my Apexi S-AFC on Teusday and would like to ask you all some questions. I know that I have to connect it to the ECU. How do I wire it up? I do not know that much about wiring so I will proly need help. What other connections do I have to make like a power connection and how do I hook it up to the O2 sensor? DOes it have an integrated A/F guage? I asked the guy that I bought It from(290 dollars shipped) if he had some guages to go with it but he said I did not need one and the S-AFC took care of that. Does it? Is there any other way of tunning the car other than dyno time? like at the track or somthing. This is mod is going to be accompanied by the MT True Duals and some people have mentioned the possibility of gaining some HP by leaning the mixture a little bit. Would a new fuel filter be a good Idea just in case mine is dirty and I run too lean? Mainly I want you all to tell me how it installs. Thankyou for your advice.

A new fuel filter would always be a good idea, its just part of the routine maintenace, same as oil chages. I believe the S-AFC will come with detailed instructions on how to install and what wires to splice into and everything. Have you decided where you want to mount it yet? Check out Scott89T2 ( I think thats who it was), he mounted it where the ashtray is, really cool and clean installation. Thats where im going to mount mine when I get it.

I will proly mount it in the stock radio's location. No wait people here will think it is a detatchable face radio and steel it. better put it some where else. I don't think anyone will know what it is here.(friggin Ricers) SO it will come with instructions for the RX-7 or just for general cars. I did not buy it from an RX-7 vendor, but from some guy on ebay which had like 14-15 of them for 270 shipped and I don't think he will know about rexe's. But I guess that all the wiring will be tha same right? Well if not I can just ask you all.

Details relating to "what Is a S-AFC" can be found here. http://www.apexi-usa.com/electronics_safc.asp
You answered your own question. Always keep tabs on (major) tune ups. When the last time you changed your Fule Filter?
Always dyno your S-AFC on a wideband dyno to achieve maximum results and always go to the dyno with brand new Spark Plugs. Not 2000km plugs not even 500km plugs.
I picked up another 6 rwhp from brand new plugs. As opposed to approx 9000km ones.

Yeah im getting one next week too and i saw Scotts write up and its awsome, Its so easy to follow. The best place to install it is exactly where scott put it cuz it hides it very well. Youd be surprised how many ppl know of the Apexi and theyd love to get their hands on one, So PLEASE hide that ****. Hey anyone know how much power these things give us? Like real numbers.
