hard start in cold weather?????

i have a 87 rx7 with about 48000 miles on new engine. its hard to start when cold but starts fine when weather is warm. any suggestions..........

Have you evaluated your electrical system but your Battery In particular?

yea i measured it with a meter and it shows 13.3 volts with engine off.

If you have a big enough vacume leak, the car will be hard to start when it's cold, but will fire right up when it's warm.

Try the carb cleaner method. With the motor running spray all around the engine, if the idle goes up, you have a leak in that area.

If the temp is really low (like under 40F) then press and release the gas one time quickly before cranking.

Just don't pump or hold it

******* ****...damn, to start my car i pump it, i guess i'll try the one hit method, i do while the ignition is on then some more to start my car, i'm starting to believe my TID is jacked up because i also got IDLE drop, did everything to my car nothing works, just if only the damn home depo has 2->2.5 couplings dammit.
