I mounted mine in the space under the aftermarket radio I have in, I had to take out the little pocket/compartment there though, sorry no pix and I dunno how to post them lol. Another spot I think that is really popular is removing the ash tray and putting it there with the cover.

Hmm.. Thats cool. I didnt even think about putting it up there. Mine is currently on top of the dash with velcro on the mount for nightime hiding. I dont like it there and need to wait for a warm day to peel the sticky tape crud off and move it.

Here are some pics on the other forum with mount locations:

Yea, I'm thinking that I'm gonna put mine in the ashtray right now (when I get it that is ). I dig the pre-sunroof mount though. Is that a sticker or a bracket you have there?

Oh man Jimmy, you've got the red interior. My sincerest condolences. A friend of mine has red int too, I guess you could get used to it...but seriously though, the guys that designed the red interior for these cars should be shot.

As for the AFC, I want to mount mine in my ash tray so it can hide from prying eyes

How bright are those things?? I don't want anything in my dash that would be very bright...I usually keep my dash lights truned about 1/2-3/4 the way down and have 5% tint all around....I like it dark .....If they are bright, is there a dimmer?!?!

The SAFC has a light sensor on it and will automaticly adjust its brightness. You can set the brightness you want for each light level.

I have yet to paint that washer because I'm still undecided to the nature of my surround repair plan. (the top is cracked out of sight on the pic) The switch actually kills the whole ecu at this time, but since the light inside the switch messes with the TPS voltage I'm going to switch it to the fuel pump instead. I have never had a problem with flooding since my engine had over 150 miles on it. (and the one time it flooded was because I tapped the gas like I use to with the stock motor by accident)

The shift boot is very much so custom. (thanks mom!) As you can see, the shifter has been significantly shortened, which required less boot to cover the guts. We made several test fittings and two prototypes of that damn thing to get enough slack to make it functional and be short enough to not get in the way. What you see is a heavy black denim rather than the vinyl. (I'm not a fan of vinyl)

I think I might rhino line my car. A friend has some of the spray on stuff thats pretty light. That would eliminate my need for carpet and then I can paint the dash whatever I want. (gonna be black)

I bought the car for $450. I really can't complain. I've spent all my money on performance parts rather than foo-foo interior crap.

One thing you guys who burried the s-afc in the hole for the ashtray are not enjoying, is the ease of hitting the buttons with your hand on the shifter. Of course, you'd need to trim about 2.5" off the top of your shifters to be like mine.

I love being able to just extend my fingers out and adjust things and change the display.

I also left enough cord free to be able to pull the unit out of the dash (still stuck to the ashtray) and hide or remove it.

I have had no problems with pushing the buttons. I can just point my finger while holding the shifter and change it. becides you have to take you had off the shifter anyway to push it if it is anywhere else

How useful has yours been (anyone...if you have some black and white results feel free to post them!), where did you do your adjustments. What rpms and how much did you really adjust it?
