Ok well the buttons do light up but the display does not. What gives? I am pretty sure i soldered the wires in correctly. Since i am not a retard. I followed the write-up from 1300cc.com i think that is it. the car turned on, but i had not pluged the S-AFC in so it died. After fxing that I pluged it in and the car did not die. I looked at it and waited for it to do something but only the buttons light up. Any ideas what is wrong? Do I have to push a button or somethin? Help me please. In the writeup it shows pics of things you have to select when it turns on but that never came up.

 

Ok and are there supposed to be three extra wires? Pink, blue, and another I can't remember. The car drives fine no hesitation jerkiness or anything.

 

maybe it's broken? the screen should come on as soon as you turn the key to "on"

you should have set those things before you even tryed to start it.

 

****! I hope not. It is not used I got it new just today. It came UPS yesterday but no one home so they dropped it off today. Any other possibilities.

Sounds like either the unit is defective, or you need to recheck your work. Always do the recheck...You might have missed something

Nah hehe. I just used to run a few linux servers from my house. RTFM became a handy thing to say. Its amazing how much people bug you about X not working and ****.

as long as the power and ground are conected it should light up. and since the buttons light up I'd say the power and ground are ok...

don't know what else to say.
