Question RX8 1.3-liter twin-rotor Renesis engine

Does anyone know if a RX8 1.3-liter twin-rotor Renesis engine can replace a 13B engine in a 2nd generation RX-7?

How exactly would one accomplish this considering production of the engine just commenced in Jpn about 2 weeks ago? You smuggle one back in your suitcase or something?

HA HA , I wonder who is going to be the first to do a transplant into their 2nd gen? I wonder if the RX-8 can smoke up on a T2? I know it has a 70hp stock on us T2 guys.

He was being sarcastic... and you're all being retarded.

Noone knows if the Renesis can be bolted up. Noone's tried it yet. Speculate all you will that "oh with the right mounts..." but noone will know until someone tries; leave it at that.

haha...i was about to flame too...good one but odds are, it won't trransplant easily, looking at thye way they move the mounts with every revision of the 13B and the fact that the housings are different.

Anythings possible I guess.

Both a TII and a Rx8 (both 100% stock) run about 15.1 in the 1/4m. I dont see the renesis making as much power as a TII off bolt ons.

You have no idea what a RX8 runs in the 1/4. I read the weight is 2820. If thats the case it weights what an S2000 does. an S2000 runs 14.1-14.3 with a good driver (i watch my friends run that consistent). tHe RX8 has a better power band and a little more HP. I see 14.2-14.5 for the RX-8.

NO rx8 has been tested by the mags. When they did the 1/4 mile time they said "Estimated".

How do you know the power band of a rx8? How do you know the actual weight? Oh I guess you "read" both of those.. just like I read the 15.1. So dont try to mag race here.

Dont start a flame war with me , you will not like the result. I know the power band because I can READ. I saw DYNO PLOTS, I read what they said about it. the VTEC does not have as good of a power band, sorry its a fact.

the car was weighed and yes, it was a pre-production vehicle. As I quote myself here, I said "IF THATS THE CASE". Atleast what I quoted was actually tested on the car not...Hmmmm I estimate it will run 15.1 in the 1/4. Get a grip.
