if you need just about anything for your car, go to www.rotten.com almost gaurenteed to have what you need and if not, im sure they can find out who does.....these people really go out on a limb to help you get exactly what you need, and dont want to charge you an arm and a leg for it, so before you go running to mazda to get a part try www.rotten.com you be surprised at what youll find there

(don't try to get around the advertising rules... and YES, they will be surprised at what they find there... LOL) - Brad

I have only bought one new part from him and two used.

The used parts he sent just are not nearly as good as the description and do not match the pictures he posts.

The first part (a passengers headlight assembly) I ordered from him came bent and paint scratched with only the lower assembly usable. Yet this was advertised as in "very good condition", and the box it arrived in was undamaged or bent in any way.

The last part, I had to return to him because of the poor overall condition. Although he did return my money (well, other than my shipping costs to send it back to him) on the last part a bought (that when arrived; looked like it had almost been in a fire) was very weathered with sun and electrical damage. Again this was described as "in good condition."

On the new part, it appeared slightly used and then cleaned.

So I feel I was burned three times, I won't ever consider buying from him again.

Count me as satisfied. I've bought 2 sets of axles, a transmission, and more from him. The transactions are easy and the prices were fair. These parts are used, and they sometimes show their age.

Remember, no used parts are any younger than 10 years old, so don't expect the world. Parts have all been packaged properly and shipped with no damage. I couldn't ask for anything more.

At the very least, Ernst seems very willing to try to keep customers happy. And when you send him money, get your parts. Now, not 4 months later.

And tony,

The new S4 stereo surround from him is $75
the Mazdatrix s4 price is $78.

But ernest charges me more for shipping, so they cost about the same to me.

I just looked at the prices on rotten's new radio surrounds. Why would you buy one from him when you can run down to your local RX7 dealer and get one for the exact same price, and not deal with the shipping?

rotten.com's price $75
Any local Mazda Dealer price $75

I'm not B.S'ing you, I just bought one for my 88 T2 a month ago from Boniface Mazda here in Melbourne FL, and it came to a few cents over $75 with tax.

Online stores are supposed to be cheaper than the dealers. None of the new parts he sells are any cheaper than what anyone can get locally.

If your talking about getting a used radio surruound from that guy, well your just throwing your money away, because a used one will just crack again in a couple of months.

PM me.
Thanks

Ummm... no advertising businesses here. If you want to advertise, you have to PAY for advertising. Thread locked, name of business removed from posts.

I did a web search for junkyards, and got a price on a used radio surround for 40 bucks. Mine cracked, so what I did as a temporary fix was to get some Tile and Tub caulk (it's not corrosive to plastic) and filled in the gaps on the back of it. It doesn't dry up super hard, but it adds enough reinforcement that it won't crack... You guys might want to give it a try BEFORE your surround cracks.

I bought an entire upper Throttle body from this place i got it a while back and from what i recall it was pretty cheap. Only reason I got it was because it had the TPS still attached from what i recall i got everything for under 100.00 i think about 75. But i agree with the previous reply, this does not belong here
