rs7 wont start

1986 rx7 non turbo, I bought the car last wednesday, the car drove home just fine, after i got it there i cut it off, let it sit for about 3 hours and then wanted to show a friend how it ran, and yada yada. anyways it would not start. so i did what anyone would do, i checked fluids drained gas, put 5 gallons new, and changed the plugs. it started right up. it ran for about 1.5 hours total time, not its not starting again, i pulled the plugs and there black as night. any ideas.

I was thinking that it may be the ingition coil.

let me know im watching the post very closely for your response, and thank you again

Sounds like its flooded...

Try pulling the fuse in the main fusebox under the hood called EGI INJ. Crank it for 5-10 seconds then put the fuse back in and try again.

Pulling the fuse will make sure that it doesnt try to inject more gas so you can burn off the excess.

These cars are very prone to flooding, they have a wierd issue with injectors sticking open when the car is turned off before the engine speed goes back to idle. Used to happen to me a lot but i got used to letting them idle for a few seconds before shutting it off and mine hasnt flooded for years, except when someone else drives it.

Hope this helps you out.

e tried de flooding it , could it be flooding if there was weak spark, not enought to ignite all teh fuel , or is that unlikely?
