Rx-8 Injectors

When the RENENSIS came out a coupel of years ago I remember reading about the "improvements" that Mazda had supposedly made in redesigning the rotary. One of these was that they claimed their new fuel injectors "atomized" the fuel better and thus resulted in cleaner, more complete combustion. Now I know VERY little about the impedances as well as the actual fit of such things, but I was curious if anyone's ever tried to put thse "new" injectors in their old s5 or s4? I'm guessing that since I can't find any info about anyone doing it, it's prolly not worth it or possible, but was curious anyway.

What do the 8's get for fuel economy doing mostly highway cruising?

I heard a lot of people bitching about the lack of power and low gas mileage when they first came out...

yeah cus they had 10 years to forget how much fuel any rotory will drink.

i doubt the improvments (if any) would be worth the bother. how different could they be?

lol I get between 16 and 19 in mixed driving and 18 to 21 in highway only on a cool day. if ambient temp reches above 78F I lose gas and HP if temps reach above 90F I lose enugh power to not want to pass a car in fear of head on colishion and MPG goes down as well

The Renesis uses six very small injectors that don't look anything like what we're used to. I'd say the chances of them dropping into an earlier 13B are slim to none...
