Talking It Runs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ran over to maz-max today to pick up a fuel pump finnaly, stuck it in, prayed and turned the key and---*CLICK* nothing..it died and i had to wait till the key would turn anything on again. turned it to on again, this time the BAC was doing its loud tick instead of a soft one, my friend ran away from the engine, turned the key AND--*CLICK* nothing again. my friend was telling me this is how it sounded when davids (he posts here as driftfc3c) engine blew. i messed with the battery, it felt a little loose, tightned it up, my mom was giving me a dissipointed look out the window, i guess she could see how i felt, just wasted $70 on a fuel pump and filter, only to have a turd sitting outside in my driveway. put the key in, one last turn, did it slow annnnnd---*SPUT PLOP PAAAP wap wap wap wap wap wap wap wap*

this **** is running!!!!! its puffing smoke out. i guess its white? or maby light gray. it started smelling like gas, like no other, one of the spark plug holes is crossthreaded, so its not getting full compression and was smelling like gas big time, i got sick from it. im hoping the white smoke is not what i think it is, hopefully its just because its been sitting for so long...of course, that could be the reason to bring on my worst nightmares...oh well i better get as much use out of it as i can.

oh yea, it holds a steady rev just at 1k or 1.2k rpm, i didint take a close look, but does that seem normal? even on first start up? its a 86

Full stoked!!! I so know the feeling, ya feel so good when it starts Fingers crossed that white smoke isnt the turbo Nah but it'll be sweet, these cars tend to puff a bit on first startup in a while, meh dont stress about it. Put a bit of two stroke in the tank.

Steam cleaning is another option, like the atf trick, to get rid of all that carbon buildup.

you can tell thats a bad idea right away, i would never put water near my AFM. theres not really another option when talking about the ATF trick, why would you not want to do it??

I wish my car would start for me

You've inspired me to go and actually take the time and fix it. I just hope I can have some luck like you.

and I was told. If a rx7 sitts for a long time, Say like 4months-2 years that the seals go bad. is this true?

I've also heard that you could pull your 2 bottom spark plugs, and unplug the coils for them, and try to turn the engine over.. "it should blow all of the old crap out" my friend says

i see the posts about running atf in your engines for cleaning and i was wondering if you guys have ever seen what happens when you put rubber in the atf, it swells to about 6 times its original size, i mean the water does work and also this intake cleaner you can buy called seafoam that you use like the water or atf.
