Running a TII with a NA manifold and no turbo.

Well I cannot find any one with a S5 turbo exhaust housing.

I have to get my daily driver running asap.

Can I just put my NA exhaust manifold on the car and just make some hoses to connect to the TMIC to the AFM?

I know it will run rich because it's a 4 port with 550's and no boost but I have to get it going. It might be good for the fresh rebuild anyways.

Right now my other options are.

Source a T04 manifold and some how fit a t04 hotside on my stock S5 unit so I can get it running or buy another(my 3rd) S5 turbo and hope to god it isn't bad like the others.

I really don't want to do the NA thing since I will have to install the turbo later on while the whole engine is in the car(currently out).

Any thoughts on how to run Temp NA or maybe a different Turbo or housing?

BTW I've already dropped over $4k on the TII conversion so I'm out of money.

A full T04 is most likley out of my range because I would then need a SAFC/and 720 secondaries.

This is also a daily driver so a bigger turbo is defintely not a good thing right now.

Sure, it would work if u will make it fit.
It will act pretty much as turbo with stuck open wastegate (not making any boost)

What do you mean by make it fit. The NA exhaust manifold shoudl bolt right up.

I'm trying to think if there is anything else I need to cap off/remove?

Cap the WG line? Block the coolant and oil lines?or do I have to route them through some thing?

Yes, it works just fine. I used some piping to remove my intercooler as well, and then connected the AFM to that.

Cool, Thx guys.

I'm trying my best to find a turbo right now but I might have to pull this off. It is going to be hard since I will have a full turbo conversion to trouble shoot at the same time.

It will work, and it might be good since you said its a fresh rebuild, so you won't have to worry about getting on boost. I don't think it will run to rich since your boost sensor will not read any boost, so no extra fuel dumped.

I know the boost sensor won't read and add fuel but the stock maps will be tuned for a turbo meaning they will pump a bit more.

Besides. The NA's are 450cc I think while Tii's are 550cc.

That won't matter. The AFM measures airflow, and the ECU injects enough air for that fuel. The mixures will be normal and it should run fine.
