Running rich or lean?

Why won't my damn car make up it's mind??

OK...i'm obviously runnin rich....or at least I thought I was...

I changed my plugs two days ago, and the rear rotor plugs were kindof a burnt brown color....

The front rotor had a whiteish color to the plugs....

I was told that the whiteish coloration meant that I was running lean while the brown was more on the rich side.

I occationally have the hot start problem during warmer weather and my exhaust smells of fuel (which led me to believe that I was running rich).
So, my question is, am I running rich or lean? Or both?
Any solution to the spark plug coloration issue?

FCs are known to run pretty rich stock, so I would have my injectors professionally cleaned.

What model and mods do you have?

It sounds to me like the rear injectors may be leaking and need to be cleaned (hence the fuel smell). The front injectors may be so dirty that its affecting the spray pattern, hence the lean condition. As I said, cleaning the injectors would be my first recommendation.
