So yesterday the car was running flawlessly and today on the way in to school it was just running like crap everywhere in the rpm range.

I can usually make 8-9 pounds of boost but could only make 5 max. Also when cruising I am usually at 10-12 inches of vacuum but am now at 6.

I suspect a decent boost leak somewhere but I couldn't find any so before I go pulling the uim looking for problems I am open to other suggestions.

Yeah im thinking a cracked side seal or flatten sping? Just throwing it out there, not like it hasnt happen before. Either way a compression test will give you a good understanding.

Bad apex seal or spring, so that's 2 engines in one summer. I'm geting a ******* ls1.

Wow that sucks. Screw an LS1 though, I would just get another car if you're sick of it.

For now Im going to drive it until I fix the clutch in my truck, then its going away early for the winter.

I am not sick of the car and I could never get rid of it, I just cant afford to keep replacing these engines.

get it rebuild..its most likelly last longer than replacement motor (specially from japan).
