running high octane gas

hey guys i have a local sunoco who sells race gas they sell

Race Gas 110 Octant

Avgas 100 Octant

and your normal everyday gases now question is what happens if i ran pure race gas ??? remember its leaded and has high octane and/or av gas its all high octant but has semi-lead???? my bro just replaced the sparkplug on his car put some race gas in it and he thinks he burnt the plugs already (within a week period) could this be true??? any ideas running it on a Streetported FC???

Unless you're running a damn crazy ammount of boost, DO NOT USE IT. There is NO reason why a non-turbo RX7 would require this.

Well it would be a total waste of cash if you mean running it day to day. At the track is a whole other story, especially with forced induction.

If it's an N/A regardless of porting, you don't need anything higher than 87. On a turbo car it's only useful for turning up the boost to prevent pre-ignition of the gas caused by excess heat/etc. Thus, if you don't ever turn your boost up on your turbo, it's not needed.

Isnt anything over 100 octane isnt it leaded? If I'm right then it would have probably fouled the o2 at the least.
